The self-proclaimed President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, states that he has conducted a special operation "on the liberation of Belarusians" on the territory of Ukraine.

Quote: "It appeared that these villains started capturing our people there, first of all the truck drivers that got there at that time. One and a half thousand trucks were arrested, our trucks were seized. And it seems, up to a hundred of our guys who were driving these trucks. I warned Ukrainians that we had to conduct a special operation to release these people. We have conducted such a special operation. And all our people have been released. "
Details: Lukashenko has not given details, but decided to nominate the executors of the operation for state awards.
The self-proclaimed President also threatened Ukraine, if there are still such truck drivers in the country, Belarus will "respond in another way; they risk a lot."
Background: 23 trucks from Russia and Belarus with its cargo have been nationalised at the border in the Volyn region.
